주애틀랜타총영사관은 오는 7월 9일(토) 2022 K-Pop 월드 페스티발 미동남부 예선전 및 태권도 시범공연을 개최할 예정입니다. 이번 콘테스트는 한국 창원시에서 열리는 2022 K-Pop World Festival의 지역 예선으로, 선발팀에게는 별도 심사를 거쳐 한국에서 열리는 페스티벌 출전 자격이 부여됩니다. 많은 관심과 참여 바랍니다. (댄스2팀, 보컬1팀 선발예정)

금번 행사는 외국인만 참여 가능하며, 관심 있으신 분들은 아래 사항을 참고하여 Video file 또는 YouTube link를 kpop@ktnatlanta.com으로 제출하여 주시기 바랍니다.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta is excited to announce that the Eastern Preliminary Competition for the 2022 K-Pop World Festival will be held on Saturday, July 9th at KTN, 3120 Crossing Park in Norcross, GA. This is your chance to compete to represent at the 2022 K-Pop World Festival taking place in Seoul, Korea this Fall!

Co-hosted by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), the 2022 K-Pop World Festival invites K-Pop cover both vocal and dance artists around the world to claim their spot in the finals after participating in their respective regional preliminaries.

To be considered for the Eastern Preliminary Competition, please submit your application and vocal and dance performance video to kpop@ktnatlanta.comby June 27th at 11:59 pm EST.

 
​THE EASTERN PRELIMINARY COMPETITON
WILL TAKE PLACE ON JULY 9TH
 
Application and Selection Process:
 
STEP 1: APPLY
Submit your complete Application Form and your 1 performance video to kpop@ktnatlanta.com by June 27th, 2022. Each video should be between 2 and 5 mins. It MUST be taken horizontally (landscape mode) and clearly capture your performance. Please check the video for picture and sound quality.
 
STEP 2: SCREEN & SELECT
Our team will screen all applicants and choose up to 10 vocal and 10 dance groups, allowing them a spot in the Eastern Preliminary Competition. The selected groups will be announced on our website on July 1st at noon.
 
STEP 3: PARTICIPATION IN EASTERN PRELIMINARY COMPETITION
The Eastern Preliminary Competition will be held on July 9th at KTN (3120 Crossing Park in Norcross, GA).
 
​STEP 4: WINNERS OF EASTERN PRELIMINARY COMPETITION
The winners will get a chance to send their videos to the Semifinals to advance to the Final Event.
 
The Rules:
 
1- General Overview
• Each regional preliminary will produce three teams(1 vocal, 2 dance) that will advance to the semi-finals
• Regional Preliminary performances will be recorded to be submitted for review at the Semifinal Stage
• For the Semifinal Stage, a panel of judges comprised of K-Pop industry professionals and KBS staff will review all video submissions of regional winners around the world, and select the teams that will compete in the 2022 K-Pop World Festival Finals
 
2- Contestants Eligibility & Requirements
• Contestants must be non-Korean heritage, so you are not eligible to enter if either of your parents held Korean citizenship at any point
• Contestants under the age of 18 must submit their parents’ signed consent to participate in the competition.
 
3- Eastern Preliminaries
o Performance logistics:
• Media: By participating in the Contest, participants agree and give their permission for the K-Pop World Festival staff to record, film, photograph, audiotape, or videotape their performances, and to display, publish or distribute these works for publicity or advertising purposes.
 
o Judging Criteria:
• Contestants will be judged based on stage presence, technique, visuals, execution of skills, and overall performance.
