Role Description

Loyal Trust Bank is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team. This role combines responsibilities from traditional banking roles, including teller, customer service, and sales, to provide a seamless and personalized banking experience for our clients.

The Universal Banker will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, handling a wide range of transactions, addressing inquiries, and promoting banking products and services to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Excellence

• Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure a positive and professional banking experience.

Transaction Processing

• Accurately process a variety of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures.

Product Sales and Referrals

• Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services.
• Promote savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and digital banking solutions.
• Support branch sales goals through referrals and relationship building.

Account Management

• Assist customers with account openings, closings, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.

Problem Resolution

• Address and resolve customer inquiries or issues promptly.
• Escalate complex matters to the appropriate personnel when necessary.

Cash Handling

• Perform daily balancing and cash management duties.
• Follow security protocols for cash and negotiable instruments.

Relationship Building

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Foster customer loyalty and trust in Loyal Trust Bank’s services.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with branch team members to achieve branch goals.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in banking, retail, or customer service.
• Prior teller or sales experience is a plus.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse customers.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and banking software.
• Excellent sales and relationship-building abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Korean and/or Chinese language skills preferred.
• Flexibility to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., coin bags or cash boxes).
• Comfortable with frequent interaction with customers in a professional setting.
