안녕하세요,

예전에 제가 귀넷카운티에 있는 한 노인아파트에서 한인입주민들을 도울 파트타임 직원을 찾게 도와달라는 부탁을 받고 이곳에 포스팅을 올린 적이 있습니다.  좋은 분들이 그 글을 보고 연락하셔서 현재 그 아파트에는 한국인 직원이 근무하게 되었습니다.

노인아파트에 거주하시는 대부분의 한인노인분들이 영어 구사가 자유롭지 않아 소소한 일에도 어려움이 많다는 것을 업무상 잘 알기 때문에 이렇게 한국어 직원을 고용한다는 소식은 반갑고 또 좋은 분을 찾도록 돕고 싶은 마음입니다.

이번에는 벅헤드 지역에 있는 노인아파트에서 파트 타임 한인 직원을 찾도록 도와달라는 연락이 왔습니다.

 CULTURAL COORDINATOR   (Part-time, non-exempt, no benefits)

AFFORDABLE SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY IN BUCKHEAD

Position Summary:  As a result of our growing Korean population, we seek to hire a Cultural Coordinator to assist management in designing and implementing a very visible, on-going program of translation services to meet the individual needs of the residents.  The applicant must be enthusiastic about serving elderly/disabled adults, comfortable working with a diverse population and have the flexibility to work with the Administrator and other Directors.

Responsibilities & Duties: 

·      Support the Administrator, Director of Resident Services, etc. in developing programs to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of participants.

·         Update bulletin board and other displays

·         Proof-read & translate flyers, newsletters & brochures, etc.

·         Attend meetings to assist in translation and in-service education programs; provide participant feedback and updates as needed.

Job Qualifications & Expectations:

·         Able to communicate fluently both verbally and written form, in English and Korean

·         Two years’ experience working with elderly/disabled adults

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

·         Excellent time management & organizational skills

·         Willingness to travel with residents on outings if needed.
