Student Assistant – Research and translation
Organizational Background
The Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute, also known as EI2, is the largest and most comprehensive university-based program of business and economic development assistance in the United States. Our overall goal is to help enterprises of all types and sizes use science, technology, and innovation to improve their competitiveness – and bottom lines.
EI2 Global is a unit engaged in a wide variety of programs and activities within this sphere. Some key programs include assisting with the development and implementation of educational programming for entrepreneurs; an initiative for the U.S. Department of Commerce to assist several universities and colleges with the development and implementation of programming for their entrepreneur workforce; and a new effort to assist other universities, states and foreign countries with the establishment of high-tech entrepreneurship programs modeled on EI2’s successful Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) and industry best practices.
Duties of the Position
The position entails performing various research tasks as part of a team under the direction of a project manager. Examples include market research to support assigned projects related to ecosystem assessments, entrepreneurship, and economic development practices, conducting comprehensive analyses for innovation ecosystems and new/existing incubation programs, identifying and more. The role will report to Ms. Brandy Nagel. This is a hybrid role with some work happening in Tech Square and some work can be conducted elsewhere.
Qualifications
Candidates must be enrolled at Georgia Tech and be in good standing. Strong writing, analytical, and computer skills are mandatory, along with excellent library and internet research skills. Applicants must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Fluency in both written and spoken Korean and English is expected as interpersonal communication is an essential component of this position.
