Position Information

Job Title: Freight Forwarding Logistic Operation Associate

Contract Period: 1 yr.
Working Location: Duluth, GA 30096 (Onsite)

Work Hours: 08:30 ~ 17:30 (subject to changed)  

Bilingual (Korean) Required

 

JD Details

Responsibilities:

 

·         Manage full-cycle international and domestic freight forwarding operations (air, ocean, and inland)

·         Oversee import and export documentation and customs clearance procedures

·         Coordinate with warehouses to ensure accurate cargo receiving, storage, and dispatch

·         Arrange and track transportation schedules with trucking and shipping carriers

·         Prepare and verify commercial documents (BL, AWB, invoice, packing list, etc.) for compliance and accuracy

·         Handle billing processes including issuing invoices (A/R) and verifying vendor invoices (A/P)

·         Monitor and analyze job profit and loss (P&L) to ensure margin targets are met

·         Conduct settlement processes and ensure timely closing of shipments

·         Maintain accurate records in internal TMS/ERP systems

·         Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal management to resolve issues promptly

·         Support problem resolution related to delivery, damage, or loss

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

·         1–5 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations preferred

·         Familiarity with import/export procedures, customs, and warehouse/transportation coordination

·         Bilingual in Korean and English preferred

·         High school GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

·         Strong written and verbal communication, customer engagement, and problem-solving skills

·         Self-motivated, organized, and capable of handling high-pressure environments

Responsibilities:

 

System Management & Optimization:

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of WMS and TMS solutions.
  • Ensure system stability, data integrity, and accurate inventory tracking across all warehouse operations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system errors, inefficiencies, and performance issues, ensuring minimal disruptions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and deploy system updates, patches, and enhancements.
  • Analyze operational workflows and recommend system improvements to enhance efficiency.

Process & Performance Improvement:

  • Involve new warehouse setup and functional responsibilities across operations, systems, compliance, and vendor coordination.
  • Work closely with warehouse leadership to optimize receiving, shipping, and inventory processes.
  • Continuously identify process improvements and request necessary system developments.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) and provide tailored data-driven insights to the operations team.
  • Ensure accurate data capture within WMS/TMS to improve supply chain visibility.

User Training & Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all WMS-related functions.
  • Train and support warehouse staff, operations teams, and management on WMS/TMS best practices.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot system-related issues to enhance productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Gather feedback from end-users and propose system enhancements based on operational challenges.
  • Communicate project updates and system performance to leadership in a clear and actionable manner.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  • Bilingual in Korean and English
  • 1+ years of experience managing WMS/TMS system in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical and data evaluation skills with experience in system troubleshooting, process automation, and operational improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Experience working with logistics systems, particularly WMS and TMS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to train and support cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and system security protocols.
  • Travel %: ~10% in U.S.

  • Prepare and distribute daily terminal reports and purchase order (PO) shipping reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor vessel schedules and proactively communicate any delays, changes, or updates with steamship lines and customers.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, customers, and external carriers to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Support customer service by addressing inquiries, providing shipment updates, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records and documentation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting logistics issues and recommending improvements to processes.
  • Perform other administrative and logistics-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; able to generate and analyze reports.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and coordination with steamship lines is a plus.
  • Experience with logistics software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, TMS, WMS).
