  Position: Registered Nurse (RN)  

  Department: Medical/Primary Care       

  Employment: Full-Time

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive care in a dynamic healthcare setting. The RN ensures a safe environment, promotes health education, maintains continuity of care, and collaborates across healthcare teams to support optimal outcomes. This role requires effective communication, the use of technology, and application of the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Additional responsibilities include advocacy, leadership, performance improvement, delegation, conflict resolution, and active participation as a team member.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate utilization management to ensure effective resource use and improved outcomes.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and providers to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Collaborate with clinical teams in hospice care, assisted living, and other specialized settings.
• Monitor nursing performance indicators and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Deliver safe and effective nursing care using clinical judgment and evidence-based practices.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, recognizing the impact of care on health outcomes.
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Accurately document patient care in both electronic and physical health records.
• Identify learning needs of patients and families, and recommend appropriate educational resources.
• Serve in a developing leadership role, including fulfilling Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in general hospital systems required.
• Specialty area experience preferred.
• Active Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of Georgia required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bilingual (Spanish—English) or multilingual ability to serve diverse patient populations.

·         Experience with integrated care models and interdisciplinary collaboration.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, team-oriented clinical environment.

Abilities

·         Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·         Capacity to provide strategic input and adapt to the evolving needs of the primary care department.
