Position: Logistic Safety Supervisor(Asst. Manager Level)
Location : GA Office (Lawrenceville, GA)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Supervisor to join our team. As a Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies to maintain a safe working environment within our logistics operations. You will collaborate with various departments to identify safety hazards, assess risks, and implement measures to mitigate them. Your role will involve training employees on safety procedures, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistic management and possess extensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and DOT safety regulation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the logistics environment.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and procedures to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with department managers to assess safety risks associated with specific tasks, projects, or operations, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Provide safety training to employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety education, and specialized training as needed.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant data, and prepare reports for management as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging safety technologies to continuously improve safety standards.
Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, providing documentation and support for inspections and compliance reviews.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among employees at all levels of the organization.
Participate in emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness for potential safety incidents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial engineering, logistics management, or a related field.
Professional certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Health and Safety Technician) preferred.
Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with a focus on safety and compliance.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to the logistics industry (e.g., OSHA, DOT, EPA).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, analyze data, and develop effective safety strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and influence others to prioritize safety.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve safety objectives.
Physical Requirements:
This role may require occasional travel to various logistics facilities and sites, as well as the ability to perform safety inspections in warehouse and transportation environments.

Pay: $60,813.00 - $72,070.00 per year
