Position Overview
Are you a positive and hardworking individual that is passionate about IT and looking to gain some further experience supporting a hands-on and collaborative IT team?
Our IT Support Specialist provides support to our IT team in providing customer service for all Help Desk requests,
You will work closely with a strong team of Windows System Administrators and Engineers to maintain and improve an existing computer network infrastructure within a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations.
The role will entail:
Providing IT support to users primarily via remote access
Managing the on-boarding process for new starters, including providing company laptops and arranging access to company systems
Acting as the first point-of-contact for problems across our IT estate both onsite and offsite
Working with our information security team to roll out new initiatives across the business
Use automation tools to improve IT workflows
Manage tickets via the IT Help Desk and resolve issues in accordance with SLAs
Manage off boarding process and make sure it adheres with company policy
Ensure the security and compliance of all company laptops & devices
Create and maintain IT procedures and reports to support the organization
Requirements
Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to explain day-to-day technical concepts to a range of audiences, technical and non-technical
Resolve issues through the ticketing system on first touch whenever possible
Respond to requests for technical assistance over the phone or via a ticketing system
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills along with patience,
Have a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment is preferred.
Basic computing/networking knowledge is required and will be evaluated during the interview
Familiar with Microsoft Windows operating system and basic IP networking
Proficient in written and spoken English
Clean Driving history.
