Entry-Level Underwriter

Location: Onsite – Downtown Knoxville, TN

Compensation: $50,000 + Production Bonus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM

We’re hiring for an entry-level underwriting role. No insurance experience required—we’ll provide comprehensive training, mentorship, and exposure to both product development and system implementation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Underwrite new and renewal condo association risks using company guidelines
• Review inspection reports, loss data, and other documents to evaluate risk
• Set classifications, terms, and premium based on underwriting assessment
• Assist in the development and testing of underwriting systems and internal tools
• Help shape product guidelines and rating strategies as part of a growing team
• Communicate with brokers and carriers to support strong relationships
• Participate in ongoing training on industry best practices and internal systems
• Contribute to a fast-growing MGA with clear advancement opportunities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree (all majors welcome; Business, Economics, or related fields preferred)
• Critical thinking and attention to detail
• Organized and able to manage tasks independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual (English & Korean) is a plus, but not required
• Comfort learning new tools or systems — especially helpful for tech-forward projects
• Prior insurance experience is helpful but not required
• Must work onsite in our Knoxville office (no hybrid option)

주요 업무

• 인수 심사 결과에 따른 등급, 조건 및 보험료 설정
• 내부 시스템 및 도구 개발 및 테스트 지원
• 제품 가이드라인 및 전략 수립에 기여
• 보험 중개인 및 계약자들과의 소통을 통해 관계 구축
• 업계 동향 및 내부 시스템에 대한 지속적인 교육 참여
• 빠르게 성장하는 MGA 팀의 일원으로 활발한 기여

• 학사 학위(전공 무관, 경영·경제 등 관련 전공 우대)
• 비판적 사고력 및 꼼꼼함
• 자기 주도적 업무 수행 능력
• 원활한 의사소통 및 대인 관계 능력
• 영어 및 한국어 이중 언어 구사 가능자 우대
• 새로운 시스템 및 도구 학습에 대한 유연한 태도
• 보험 관련 경력 우대 (필수 아님)
• 녹스빌 사무실에서 온사이트 근무 가능자 (재택/하이브리드 근무 불가)
