3. 주요 업무 및 역할

- 로봇 아크 용접 솔루션 개발 주도

- 용접 품질 및 생산성 향상을 위한 용접 파라미터 (전류, 전압, 와이어 공급 속도, 이동 속도, 토치 각도 등) 설정 및 최적화

- 용접 결함 분석 및 공정 안정성 향상을 위한 근본 원인 분석 및 문제 해결

- 아크 용접 및 기타 자동화 응용을 위한 로봇 프로그래밍 및 시운전

- 용접 전원 (MIG/MAG 시스템 등), 포지셔너, PLC, 센서, 안전 시스템 및 기타 주변 장비 통합

- 필요 시 용접 이외의 추가 로봇 자동화 프로젝트 지원

- 고객 시설에서의 현장 설치, 시동, 테스트 및 성능 검증 수행

- 용접 자동화 전략 및 광범위한 로봇 솔루션에 대한 고객 기술 컨설팅 제공

- 판매 전후 종합 기술 지원 제공

- 영업팀 및 본사 엔지니어링팀과 협력하여 제안서 및 기술 납품물 개발

- 로봇 시스템 운영 및 유지보수에 관한 고객 및 파트너 교육 실시

- 고객 교육 세션 진행 및 유지보수·문제 해결 활동 지원

- 용접 절차서, 로봇 프로그램, 배선도, 사용자 매뉴얼 등 종합 문서 작성

- 지속적인 개선 및 혁신에 기여하기 위해 최신 로봇 기술 및 트렌드 파악

4. 자격 요건 및 우대 사항

- 관련 기술 분야 학사 학위 (또는 동등한 실무 경험)

- 로봇 또는 실무 아크 용접 응용 분야 5~10년 경력

- 로봇 경험이 부족한 경우, 후판 실무 용접 경험 필수

- MIG, MAG 및 기타 아크 용접 공정에 대한 탄탄한 지식

- 용접 품질 향상을 위한 용접 조건 설정 및 조정 능력 검증

- 로봇 아크 용접 분야의 핵심 전문성, 기타 로봇 응용 분야 지원 의지 및 역량

- 용접 전원 및 주변 용접 장비 경험

- 로봇 프로그래밍 및 티치 펜던트 운용 능숙도

- 강력한 문제 해결 및 트러블슈팅 능력

- 전기 회로도 및 기계 도면 해독 능력

- 잦은 출장 가능 여부

- 후판 소재 로봇 용접 경험 보유자 강력 우대

- 조선, 중공업, 해양, 또는 대형 구조물 산업 경험 우대

- 로봇 용접 응용 분야 친숙도 우대

1. Job Overview

- Position : Robot Application Engineer - Arc Welding Focus

- Applicants : 0

2. Location

- Full Time (Mon – Fri, 08:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

- Location: Duluth, GA (Remote work may be considered depending on experience)

- Salary: Negotiable based on experience

- Benefits: Medical insurance, 401K

3. Key Responsibilities

- Lead robotic arc welding solution development.

- Establish and optimize welding parameters (current, voltage, wire feed speed, travel speed, torch angle, etc.) to improve weld quality and productivity.

- Analyze weld defects and perform root-cause troubleshooting to enhance process stability.

- Program and commission robots for arc welding and other automation applications.

- Integrate welding power sources (e.g., MIG/MAG systems), positioners, PLCs, sensors, safety systems, and other peripheral equipment.

- Support additional robotic automation projects beyond welding as required.

- Conduct on-site installation, start-up, testing, and performance validation at customer facilities.

- Provide technical consultation to customers on welding automation strategies and broader robotic solutions.

- Provide comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales technical support.

- Collaborate with Sales and Headquarters Engineering to develop proposals and technical deliverables.

- Deliver training to customers and partners on robotic system operation and maintenance.

- Conduct customer training sessions and support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

- Create comprehensive documentation, including welding procedure, robot programs, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.

- Stay informed on the latest robotics technologies and trends to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.

4. Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

- 5 to 10 years of experience in robotic or hands-on arc welding applications.

- If robotic experience is limited, hands-on heavy plate welding experience is required.

- Solid knowledge of MIG, MAG, and other arc welding processes.

- Proven ability to establish and adjust welding conditions to improve weld quality.

- Primary expertise in robotic arc welding, with willingness and capability to support other robotic applications.

- Experience with welding power sources and peripheral welding equipment.

- Proficiency in robot programming and teach pendant operation.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

- Willingness to travel frequently.  

5. Preferred Skills

- Strong preference for candidates with robotic welding experience on heavy plate materials.

- Experience in shipbuilding, heavy fabrication, offshore, or large-structure industries.

- Familiarity with robotic welding application.

- Understanding of welding codes and quality standards (e.g., AWS, ISO).

- Experience with weld quality inspection procedures.

- Ability to use MS Office software.
