Position: Senior Financial Analyst
Term: 3 months contractor position with potential contract extensions and/or convert to full time employee available based on candidate’s performance. 
Rate: $40/hr. (Negotiable based on candidate’s experience) 
Location: Sandy Spring, GA (currently work from home due to COVID-19 office closure)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (1 hr. lunch break)

The position will be responsible for the general market, sales, and supply chain analysis required to understand, predict, and enhance mobile device sales and supply management of Samsung mobile products.  This person oversees data collection, performance analysis, financial reconciliation, problem identification and associated recommendations which support mobile planning, operations, and customer demand. He/she will contribute to driving sales goals and ensures customer needs are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.  In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:
• Responsible for monthly revenue projection, variance reporting and risk & opportunity analyses 
• Perform purchase order and supply plan reconciliation and reporting
• Assist with three to six months’ horizon business planning, including sales forecasting, inventory management and supply planning
• Assist with gathering, analysis, and reporting of key market, competitive, and sales data
• Develops relationships with customer personnel across sales operations, buying, and distribution
• Assist with developing real-time insights on market trends, shifts in sales behaviors, new category entrants, etc.
• Utilize internal and external data to drive awareness of business opportunities or areas for optimization
• Contribute insights to portfolio structure for Samsung business
• Assist with ad hoc strategic projects, including planning, tracking, reporting, and documentation of all aspects of the projects


Background/Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 2 – 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered.
• Superior Excel modeling skills required, including but not limited to VLOOKUP and PIVOT.
• Ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly wireless preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills required (both written and verbal)
• Experience in developing financial and operational analysis and presentation to management
• Experience in managing accounting and financial planning
• SAP or other ERP system experience is plus.


Necessary Skills/Attributes for this position the following skills and abilities must be demonstrated at a proficient level:
• The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
• Experience using advanced enterprise planning or financial planning systems is highly desired.  (SAP, etc.)
• Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills. 
• Strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills.
• The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames.
