안녕하세요. 곧 시작되는 학기부터 SAT/PSAT 개인 과외 진행할 학생 추가 모집중입니다. 둘루스/스와니/존스크릭 지역은 대면 수업이 가능하고, 또 Zoom을 통해 온라인으로도 수업 진행 가능합니다. 앞서 말한 지역 외 지역에서의 대면 수업을 원하신다면 문의 주시면 힘써보도록 하겠습니다.

학생의 필요에 맞게 수업 시간대는 주 별로 조정 가능합니다. 각 학생마다 다른 부분이지만, 매주 두시간씩 두번의 과외를 2개월 가량 진행하는 게 가장 효과적인 타임라인이라고 봅니다.

저는 10학년/15세 때 첫 ACT를 35로 마무리하고, 다음 해 11학년/16세 때 PSAT 1480점과 SAT 1550점을 또 첫 시도에 달성해서 National Merit Finalist를 따게 되었습니다. 그 후에는 밴더빌트 대학교에서 학사 과정을 밟다가 최근 졸업했구요.

재작년 여름에 과외했던 학생들 중에는 20대 중후반을 받던 한국에서 다소 늦게 넘어 온 학생들도 있었고, 30대 초반을 받던 한국계 미국인 학생도 있었지만, 학생들이 절 믿고 잘 따라와준 덕분에 대부분 4-5점 점수를 올리는데 기여할 수 있었습니다.

영어와 한국어 둘 다 원어민 수준 구사 가능하고, 엔지니어링 배경 덕분에 수학과 과학 파트들에 대해서도 학생분들께 더 직관적인 설명이 가능합니다. 때문에 학생의 영어 구사 실력, 독해 능력, 분석적 사고 능력 등에 보다 적게 구애받고 도움을 줄 수 있으리라 생각합니다.

Hello. I am looking for students who would like private tutoring on improving SAT/PSAT and ACT scores. I can come in person to nearby areas including Duluth/Suwanee/Johns Creek or I am also available for online classes over Zoom. If you are located further from the aforementioned areas, we can discuss the possibility of in-person tutoring.

I am available for tutoring with a flexible weekly schedule to accommodate the student's needs. Ideally, I would recommend 2 hour long sessions twice a week for a two month+ duration, although this may vary by student.

I scored in 10th grade at age 15 a 35 on the ACT, and scored PSAT 1480 and SAT 1550 in 11th grade, which allowed me to be selected as a National Merit Finalist. I attended Vanderbilt University for my undergraduate, and recently graduated.

Two summers ago, I tutored students ranging from students who came over relatively late from Korea and were scoring high 20s, to Korean American students who were scoring low 30s, but thanks to them diligently following my classes, I was able to help most of them increase their scores by 4-5 points.

I speak both Korean and English at a native level, and my engineering background allows me to give more intuitive explanations about the math and science sections. Consequently, I am equipped to help students at a variety of different levels of English proficiency, reading comprehension, and analytical thinking skills with improving their SAT/ACT scores.
