Main Job:

 

Johns Creek Korean Church (JCKC) fully understands the changing landscape of Korean immigrant churches. We are seeking a pastor to take a different approach toward Korean American congregations in order to accommodate and serve the growing number of second and third generation Korean American adults in our growing Atlanta area.

 

This approach, geared towards Korean-Americans with families (English Ministry – Adults, EMA), addresses the unique needs of the ever-growing number of Korean-Americans. (We hope to achieve a worship service for those who desire a more Korean culture than the more mature, multicultural megachurches or typical American churches rather than the traditional "KM" or typical "EM" focusing on young people).

 

The newly renovated chapel, equipped with new audio/video equipment, has ideal worship times and infrastructure for all family members to participate together in children's, youth and other departmental worship services.

 

Responsibility:

 

· Embrace a deep and wide church vision

 

· Cooperate with the worship team to conduct gospel-centered worship

 

· Participate in the development of Bible education systems and curriculum

 

· Carry out ministry through spiritual leadership

 

 

 

· Implement relationship-centered ministry

 

· Leads believers to become closer to Christ through biblical teachings, spiritual fellowship, and realization of the Word.

 

· Supervises the EM Department budget

 

· Supervise hiring/firing of EM department employees

 

· Establish and nurture elders and leaders who will represent EM

· Fluent in English and possesses excellent communication skills

 

· Discover the strengths and spiritual gifts of believers and effectively mobilize them for ministry

 

· Become spiritually mature and possess the gift and love of teaching and sharing the Word

 

· Collaborate with the existing KM community to achieve good together and form an EM that unites and grows together for a united church.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

· Attending or graduating from seminary (M.Div. degree)

 

 

 

· Those who have received or are willing to receive ordination as a pastor

 

· Those with permanent residency or citizenship
