Ocean Import Supervisor - 1 position

Job Type: Full Time, on-site
Location: Duluth, GA

Responsibilities:

Operations Management of account:

• Facilitate import customs clearance procedures.

• Coordinate container transport schedules with carriers and shipping lines.

• Manage transportation and POD for containers based on final destination and designated transport dates.

• Responds to operational issues during irregular situations and handle emergency transportation needs.

• Oversee all aspects related to the transportation of import containers.

Daily Container Transportation Management:

• Maintain transportation master file.

• Manage container demurrage, detention, and storage (LFD Managememt).

• Oversee inventory data management for designated regional warehouses in the US.

• Communicate regularly with carriers and resolve any transportation-related issues.

Billing & Settlement Tasks:

• Perform monthly settlement closings including shipping, transportation, and warehouse operations.

• Handle input tasks for transactional data required for invoice generation.

• Manage general tasks related to settlement and performance closing.

Qualifications:

• Ability to identify and resolve operational issues promptly.

• Extensive experience in end-to-end transportation service operations, particularly with import container cargo and coordination with carriers.

• Familiarity with shipping lines and import documentation.

• Background in logistics operations within a corporation is highly preferred.

• Desire to advance career and commit to long-term growth with the company

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
