Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc opens for Legal Assistant.
Primary Duties:
This position supports the Legal Team in various legal matters of the company, including but not limited to, research of applicable laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing documents, and management of regulatory and compliance documents to ensure all required documents satisfy federal, state, and local government requirements. This position is also responsible for implementing and monitoring compliance controls, procedures, and operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Performing accurate legal research and analysis.
Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations in legal documents.
Monitoring legislation, regulation, and compliance matters that could impact the business.
Compiling, proofreading, and revising drafts of legal documents and reports.
Daily recordkeeping with soft and hard copy filing of documents.
Obtaining relevant information from external organizations or agencies, such as EPA, ECCC, or CARB.
Providing timely notice to all necessary parties to regulatory and statutory changes.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining internal policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices.
Conducting internal audits/investigations on a regular or ad hoc basis to ensure all required compliance programs are appropriately implemented.
Supporting various departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with relevant departments.
Supporting Legal Counsel in providing the following legal support to the business:
Drafting, reviewing and if needed, assisting in negotiating general and commercial agreements.
Drafting and reviewing documents required for corporate transactions.
Managing and monitoring the status of pending investigations, litigations, and disputes.
Coordinating legal training to internal clients.

Requirements:
Minimum of 1 yr. experience in a legal field (essential).
Analytical thinker with detailed research proficiencies.
Systematic knowledge of databases and tracking systems.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Korean language skill is preferred, but not required.
Salary Range:
$60K~$70K based on the experience.
