 Responsibilities for a Procurement Specialist:

 Procurement Management:

o Develop and implement procurement strategies for property insurance

o Conduct market research to identify potential insurance providers and products

o Evaluate and compare quotes from different insurers to ensure competitive pricing and

coverage

o Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance providers to secure favorable agreements

 Policy Administration:

o Manage the renewal process for property insurance policies, ensuring timely and accurate

submissions.

o Monitor and assess existing policies for coverage adequacy and cost effectiveness

o Maintain detailed records of all insurance policies, contracts and communications with

providers

 Risk Assessment:

o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and assess property related risks

o Work with risk management teams to develop strategies for mitigating potential losses

 Compliance and Reporting:

o Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to property insurance

procurement

o Prepare reports on insurance coverage, claims history, and expenditures for management

review

 Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Serve as a liaison between the organization and insurance providers, addressing any issues

or inquiries

o Provide training and support to internal teams regarding insurance policies and procedures

Qualifications for a Procurement Specialist:

 Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field is

preferred

o Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is a plus but not required

 Experience:

 3-5 years of experience in insurance, procurement, or risk management

 Strong understanding of property insurance products and market trends

 Proven negotiation and contract management skills

 Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities

 Effective communication and interpersonal skills
