Summary
This position will provide accounting, AR/AP Billings, customer service and monitor inbound/outbound shipment traffics regarding transportation of 3PL/2PL/Parts customers with ocean, air and in-land transportation

Compensation Range
$44,000 – $54,000/Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities
All Accounting Billings, AR/AP
Month End Reports
Provide in/outbound operations services
Provide in/outbound operations services covering ocean in/outbound
Populate and update systems and track shipments
Monitor and support container moves on ocean and inland (rail and truck routes) freight
Prepare required shipping documents including BLs, PODs, commercial invoices, etc.
Develop knowledge of all modes of transportation
Coordinate with customers regarding inquiries
Handle customer shipment routing requests, and assign approved service provider for transportation based on carrier matrix and other factors.
Provide delivery updates and history as requested by customer.
Promptly answer to customer via email and phone
Billing (cost saving management – detention, demurrage, etc)
Ensure all charges are billed correctly including: detention/demurrage/pre-pull/port open charges
Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc.
Monitor urgent shipment container/trucking moves
Monitor inbound containers for timely release.
Ensure carrier compliance with customer requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required

Experience with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint Required

Problem-solving and critical thinking ability Required

Education & Experience
High School Diploma/G.E.D required
Bachelors Degree Preferred
0-2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Carriers Preferred

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
