JOB TITLE: Director of Finance CLASSIFICATION: Full-time (40 hours), Exempt IT SECURITY LEVEL: Financial Services

 

REPORTS TO: CEO

 

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Finance is responsible for all components of the financial, billing, accounting, and human resources of the CPACS Social Services and CPACS Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center (FQHC). Assist CEO with strategic, operational and fiscal planning, including oversight of annual budgets and resources.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Oversee the monthly close outprocess.

·         Process implementation andmanagement.

·         Oversee payroll processing and payrollspending.

·         Supervise and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and the annualexternal financialaudit.

·         Reviews and assists in maintaining general and subsidiaryledgers.

·         Assists with reviewing bank account reconciliations and providing technical guidance to purchasing operations, payroll administration, accounts payable and accounts receivableprocess and cash managementfunctions.

·         Assists in recording and accurately reporting capitalassets.

·         Prepare intricate journal entries and assists in reviewing routine accountingtransactions.

·         Reads and interprets contents of intergovernmentalagreements.

·         Researches and collects data to ensure accurate accounting and reporting for grant administration.

·         Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and various City, Stateand Federalregulations.

·         Conducts complex financialanalysis.

·         Works productivelyandeffectivelyinacomplexenvironment,handlingmultipleandchanging priorities. Deals with stress in a calm, positive and professionalmanner.

·         Actively demonstrates a willingness to make a meaningful contribution to thework environment, as evidenced through behavior andattitude.

·         Refrainsfromissuingunprofessional,offensive,inappropriateemail,textmessageor other forms of writtencommunication.

·         Actively supports and participates in the organizational performance improvementprogram.

·         Participates in activities promoting professional growth anddevelopment.


 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

·         Graduation from a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,Business Administration or related field isrequired.

·         Minimum of 2 to 7 years of progressive management and accounting experience in non-profitor health care industryrequired.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word,Outlook

·         Ability to be multi-tasked and complete assignments within statedtimeframe.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Knowledge of the principles and practice of not-for-profit health careorganizations.

·         Experience with computerized accounting systems andspreadsheets.

·         Experience and understanding of computerized accounting systems, budgets, and financialdata operations, third party billing, contracting, collections, and cost-reporting (Medicaid and Medicare).

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
