JOB TITLE: Field Sales Representative
EFFECTIVE DATE: ASAP SUMMARY: Selling products for manufacturer or distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, showroom, or customer's place of business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Makes outbound lead follows-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services. · Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales. · Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers. · Provides product demos to qualified customers on request. · Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained. · Tracks stock levels. · Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules. · Coordinates customer training. · Builds and maintains customers’ relationships. · Prepares reports of business transactions. · Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. · Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date. · Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelors degree or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Experience building business relationships · High level of motivation • Acute attention to detail. • Strong organizational skills. • Commitment to excellence and high standards. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
