Job Summary & Purpose

o   The main goal and function of a Business Insurance Client Manager is to assist the production team in managing, marketing and servicing clients’ needs on an ongoing basis. The BI Account Manager role is integral to exemplary client service, and ongoing and sustained growth of an assigned book of business with minimal to no oversight.

 

Job Responsibilities

o   Intermediate to advanced usage of Agency Management System

o   May depend on Client Team / Producer for rate/coverage negotiations.  Organizes responses and presents them to Client Team / Producer for review.

o   Proactively involved with Client Team on strategy and client deliverables & meeting client expectations (including proposals, stewardship, meetings, special projects etc.).

o   Maintains Client relationships independently or in concurrence with Client Team.

o   Prepares or reviews materials for discussion with Client Team / Producer

o   Steps in to support account team members on any/all functions as needed

o   Assists other Client Managers during high volume times as needed

o   Executes on the deliverables as communicated by the Client Team

o   Prepares Client presentations to include developing meeting agendas, preparing presentation documents (printing / binding)

o   Attend and actively participate in client meetings when requested by the Producer/Client Executive.

o   Mentorship of Account Associates and Senior Account Associates, as needed

o   Intermediate understanding of available tools (Reference Connect, Playbook, MMA U)

§  Provides New Business and Renewal Support based on the following tasks: 

·         Compiles Broker of Record Letters

·         Participates in internal Renewal Strategy Meetings

·         Transmits Renewal Request to Client via email or Indio

·         Gathers Renewal Information from Client

·         Performs Exposure Analysis

·         Sends Submissions to Market or Rates Online

·         Performs Non-Admitted Carrier Due Diligence in accordance with state rules

·         Performs Premium, Rate and Coverage Comparisons

·         Generates / Updates Fee Agreement  

·         Finalizes Proposal upon receipt from Vendor and presents to client

·         Send Bind Order to Carrier

·         Receives Binder from Carrier and transmits MMA Binder to Client

·         Performs Renewal Premium Allocation

§  Provides General Service Support based on the following tasks:

·         Orders Endorsements / Coverage Changes to Carrier

·         Performs Audit Reviews and addresses discrepancies

·         Provides basic Contract Review

·         Obtain required signatures for supplemental applications, fee agreements, Accords, or any applicable documentation

 

Qualifications

o   3-5 years prior experience

o   Associates / Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience Required

o   Advanced Degree (RMIN, Finance, Accounting) experience a plus

o   Advanced Designation (AAI, CISR, CIC, CRM, ARM, CPCU) in progress

o   Task leadership, Ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks as well as general account management.

o   Developing proficiency in managing a book of business through annual life cycle to include new business, customer service, renewal strategy, delegating to Team Members

o   Handles smaller, less complex accounts

o   Manages a book of business under guidance of Client Team and Sales Collaboration Advanced application of prioritization & organizational skills.

o   Intermediate application of prioritization & organizational skills

o   Proficient Project Management

o   Broadening carrier relationships with marketing and underwriting

o   Continued development of products/line knowledge and marketing techniques.  

o   Up to date with current trends, regulations, etc.  

o   Intermediate application of tools & resources

o   Intermediate application in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and advanced proficiency in Excel

Licenses and Certifications

o   Property Casualty Resident’s License Required

o   Annual CE Requirement
