Summary
The Administrator, East KD Operation will manage the inbound/outbound transportation of auto parts into U.S. manufacturing plants (Related Vendors for Hyundai/Kia and Suppliers) along with container movements. This position also manages shipments to minimize cost while maximizing profit for Glovis and will ensure that all customer inquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
Responsibilities
Provide Inbound/Outbound Operation Services
• Coordinate and monitor US inbound traffic regarding the transportation of auto parts with customers and provide assistance regarding documentation, inland deliveries, and customs-related operations.
• Analyze the volume of inbound shipments by managing daily ETA and tracking reports with customers, tracking/locating customer order statuses daily, distributing delivery schedules with up to 10 inland carriers, reporting supply chain interruptions to internal and external accounts, and supporting and maintaining supply chain issues
• Support insurance claims for cargo damage/accident/customer claims in related parties
Daily Coordination with Customer Inquiries
• Monitor and support container moves
• Coordinate urgent container deliveries to ensure the production lines of the customers
• Manage/control operations, customers, and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs.
• Update Genisys system container history.
Manage Demurrage/Detention/Chassis Charges
• According to contracted free time, monitor/alert customers for upcoming charges
• Provide tracing reports to the customers to prevent/minimize cost
• Manage demurrage/detention/chassis charges for all related customers, as well as disputing charges with ocean carriers.
Coordinate Internal/External Communication to Enhance Operations
• Coordinate with various departments
• Finance and accounting teams for revenue, cost accruals, vendor/customer account set up, and other inquiries
• Outbound logistics team and customers for completion of urgent delivery orders in a timely fashion
• Glovis IT department for enhancing and maintaining Glovis's integrated logistic system, GENYSIS.
Customer Service
• Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc as requested by the customer
• Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
• Responding promptly to customer inquiries.
• Communicating with customers through various channels.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Intermediate-level MS Excel
• Problem-solving and critical thinking ability
• Detail-oriented
Preferred
• Bilingual: English/Korean
• Experience with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint
• A self-starter that can operate under minimal supervision
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma/G.E.D required
• Three (3) years of experience in a similar field
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Stand/walk
