A Top 10 Ocean Steamship line company, HMM ATL branch office at 100 Galleria Pkwy, Atlanta, GA is hiring a Inside Sales support rep. 1-3 yrs of experience in Supply Chain Industry is preferred but not a must.
GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW
Sales Support staff work in concert with Account Executives to secure business. Individuals in this group must be dynamic, balancing various facets of their workload through strong organization skills and effectively prioritizing short and long-term tasks.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Tasks include but not limited to:
1. Communication with accounts, written and verbal
2. Rate requests
3. Contract creation & amendments, all trades, all directions
4. Problem resolution with clients, including interface with internal HMM stakeholders
5. Detention & demurrage mitigations
6. Production of reports, including sales performance and others as required by outside staff
7. Professional appearance and behavior at all times
Performs on a frequent and/or recurring basis:
• Prepare and amend service contracts for Import and Export customers
• Submit rate requests and monitor progress in assistance of sales representative
• Trace containers and monitor progress for customers as required
• Communicate with other departments and Customer Service Center personnel to ensure proper management of customers shipments
• Prepare customer reports as required
• Key contact for VIP accounts
• Assist Sales Representatives in preparation of internal reports as required
