Position: LEGAL AFFAIRS MANAGER (Leader Position)

Location: COVINGTON, GA

JOB SUMMARY

Your main responsibilities include working on-site as a member of the Absolics Legal Department providing general corporate and commercial legal services to assist in achieving business goals while minimizing undue risk. Provide creative and cost-effective support and advice to in-house clients in operations, facilities, EHS, supply chain, finance, and human resources. Work involves a wide range of areas including company policies and standard procedures; commercial contract drafting and negotiation; intellectual property and trade secret protection; export, privacy, and other regulatory compliance; dispute resolution; investigations and corporate compliance matters.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, service agreements, license agreements, and lease agreements  

• Manage and resolve disputes and investigations, including those with commercial parties, government investigations, labor arbitrations, and litigation  

• Assist with corporate projects, including financing and M&A  

• Handle corporate governance tasks, including preparation of board resolutions and policies  

• Promote compliance and responsible business conduct programs across various compliance areas (EHS, labor, privacy, etc.)  

• Interface with and manage local outside counsel  

• Perform legal research and recommend appropriate strategies to senior management  

• Coordinate with stakeholders’ legal counsels as needed  

EDUCATION:

• JD degree (or equivalent) and active membership in at least one US state bar  

• Working-level proficiency in Korean  

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of legal experience  

• Background in providing legal advice for manufacturing companies  

• Experience leading negotiations and coordinating external legal counsel across complex legal issues  

SALARY:

$120,000 – $200,000 USD
