Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing purchasing duties. You will support our business growth and complete related tasks such as: developing and implementing purchasing strategies, daily purchasing activities, prices, timelines, maintaining relationships with both customers and suppliers database, purchase records, and related documentation. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your purchasing knowledge and experience.
Company Overview:
SK pucore USA Inc. (“Company”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SK pucore Co, Ltd. (South Korea). The Company was established in Jan 2015 in Covington, Georgia, and named “MCNS Polyurethanes USA Inc.” in Jul 2015 as a 100% subsidiary company of “Mitsui Chemicals and SKC Polyurethanes Inc.” (“MCNS”), which is a joint venture of two world-class giants in chemical products industry, Mitsui Chemicals Inc. of Japan and SKC Co., Ltd. of South Korea. In accordance with the separation of MCNS in 2022, the Company changed its name to “SK pucore USA Inc.” effective July 1st, 2022.

Essential Functions:

• Understand purchasing procedures and policies.
• Assisting analyses and reports.
• Traces delinquent arrivals from purchase orders and maintains records of goods ordered and received.
• Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.
• Control purchasing department budgets.
• Determines quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitors and forecasts upcoming levels of demand.
• Develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
• Establishes account/credit and terms.
• Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.
• Works closely with receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived.
• Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.
• Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
• Serves as the organization’s representative for the finance department on procurement issues and procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management; job duties may change at any time or without notice.
Environment:
• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Purchasing required.
• Minimum of (1) years procurement experience related to a computerized ERP system, experience with Acumatica preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
• Preferred bilingual Korean/English.
