Location: Duluth, GA
Responsibilities:
• Ensure full compliance with customs and government agency requirements across all staff and teams at the highest levels.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance customs compliance and efficiency.
• Oversee the audit of entries, report findings, and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Ensure team members understand and implement company controls, policies, procedures, processes, and applications.
• Ensure all internal audits are conducted and executed in line with client requirements.
• Conduct ongoing training, including attending seminars and conferences, to stay up to date with changes in customs regulations and trade agreements.
• Assist in the implementation and control of any new legislation or client requirements.
• Assists Regulatory/Customs compliance in resolving transactional issues entry, withdrawal, or inbound transit with customer, Customs Broker, or freight forwarder.
• Maintains all aspects of Record Keeping, ensuring compliance with CBP.
• Ensures import products are properly described and the classification/duty rate is properly assigned according to the General Rules of Interpretation, the Explanatory Notes, U.S. Customs’ Informed Compliance publications, and binding rulings and Anti-Dumping and/ or Countervailing issued by Customs for similar items.
• Required to learn company safety rules. Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Computer - proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Customs software tools Communication
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Korean/English bilingual preferred.
• Professional experience in consulting, supply chain, and/or logistics field.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and project-delivery environment.
• FTZ or FDA consulting experience preferred but not required.
