Essential Duties and Responsibilities Principal Service Solutions is hiring an Entry-Level Field Service Engineer to be trained in modifying, installing, servicing and maintaining semiconductor equipment in manufacturing facilities.
Individuals are trained to modify, install, service, and maintain semiconductor equipment in a manufacturing cleanroom environment.
Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
Troubleshoot equipment issues. Maintains records and reports as required. Coordinates activities with coworkers, supervisors, and customers to minimize equipment downtime and disruption. Order and install parts. Responds to emergency service calls as needed. Instructs Customer Operations Technicians in system operation and maintenance.
Perform equipment upgrades and modifications as needed
Maintains current information on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals and other related materials.
The incumbent is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company assets, including vehicles, tools, etc.
Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both employers and customers in order to maintain their credentials to be on customer sites.
Occasional overnight travel to factories, training facilities, or customer locations may be required.
Qualification/Requirement
Bachelor's/Associate's degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical engineering, or other applicable field (engineering degree required)
0+ years of experience in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
Excellent customer interface skills required
Mechanical aptitude is required, as is the ability to use appropriate tools.
Physical Requirements:
Job duties are often performed in confined spaces, clean room environments, awkward locations and/or elevated locations.
Requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
May require bending/stooping/climbing/climbing.
Some positions may require the use of personal protective equipment and appropriate occupational safety procedures when working with one or more hazardous elements or conditions, such as chemicals, electrical currents or high voltages, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
Are willing to learn and don't mind taking on physical roles.
