Position: Housing Counselor/Program Coordinator Bi-lingual
Department: Housing
Compensation: Dependent upon qualifications
Status: Full-time
The Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) is a private non-profit organization located in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, capacity building, and advocacy. CPACS is a housing counseling agency approved by HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development).

Job Description:  Housing Counselor is responsible for providing renters, homebuyers, or homeowners with housing needs assessment and housing counseling (budget/credit counseling, pre-purchase counseling, non-delinquent post-purchase counseling, or foreclosure prevention counseling) and education. The Counselor must pass the HUD Housing Counselor Exam and become a certified housing counselor within three (3) months of employment.  The required training will be provided.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform initial intake services and assess the client’s housing needs and barriers 
• Help clients establish budget and financial/housing goals
• Open client files, which include the housing counseling intake form, supporting documents
• Establish a counseling plan and conduct a follow-up to help clients meet their goals
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of case management services, if applicable, i.e., collaboration with other programs, referrals to other services
• Receive ongoing housing counseling and education training
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bilingual strongly preferred – Burmese, Nepali, Korean, Arabic, Swahili, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to self-motivate and customer service-oriented
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff
• Must submit a background check
• Must be flexible – i.e., facilitating a workshop or conducting outreach on weekends

Position: Accounting Specialist
Department: Finance
Status:  Full-Time
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Founded on the belief that “people need people,” CPACS is the first, largest and oldest organization in the Southeast to focus on issues and concerns of Asian Americans, especially women, children and families with low incomes.

CPACS is looking for an Accounting Specialist with in-depth understanding of Full Cycle Accounting (A/P. A/R, and General Ledger). Set up customer vendor accounts. Perform daily bank reconciliation of deposits. Post daily cash receipt from lockbox and electronic deposits. Post Journal Entries.

Responsibilities
• Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.
• Receive, process, and reconcile statements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Generate and review monthly reports.
• Prepare and make bank deposits.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits.
• Prepare and distribute annual IRS forms.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
Accounting Specialist Qualifications/Skills:
• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability
• Experience in a non-profit organization & FQHC is a plus
• Bilingual (Korean) is plus but not required
Education and Experience Requirements:
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience
• 1-3 years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) performs duties such as:
Job Duties:
• Presents in a professional attire and is punctual to the clinic schedule.
• Greets patients in the waiting area and escorts patients to the operatory,
• Assist the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist.
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
• Reviews the health history, makes chart entries under the direction of the dentist and assure completion of forms and signatures.
• Assumes responsibilities associated with any expanded duties that may be delegated by the dentist.
• Familiarizes the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provides support and compassion to patient.
• Assume the responsibility of assuring that the patient is aware of the financial responsibility for the treatment and convey the same to the Dentist and front office.
• Displays empathy when discussing treatment plan and help in educating the patient.
• Stocks operatory and maintains clinical supply inventory.
• Reviews daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Assists front office procedures if time allows or need is determined by Dental Director
• Helps in preventive maintenance of dental equipment.
• May perform the following procedures:

o Test pulp vitality.
o Taking Diagnostic X rays as directed by the Dentist
o Place rubber dam on patients.
o Remove excess cement from supragingival surfaces of teeth with hand instrument or floss.
o Size stainless steel crowns and bands.
o Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges
o Temporary cementation and removal of temporary crowns and removal of orthodontic bands.
o Placement of retraction cords.
o Placement and ligation of arch wires for tooth stabilization.
o Take bite registration and matrix impressions.
o Coronal polishing.
o Denture adjustment and record the different steps.
o Help the Dentist in Documentation of procedures.
o Taking impressions and pouring the diagnostic models
o Trained for administration of N2O2  and able to monitor the patient.
o Assist in surgical procedures that need standing for extended period of time.
o Be familiar with digital record keeping and technology for diagnostic imaging.
• Has ability to relate to public regardless of ethnic, religious, language and socioeconomic status.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma (GED).
• Certification of expanded duties dental assisting.
• CPR certification

Additional qualities:
• Present in professional manner and is punctual.
• Has positive attitude and pleasant demeanor.
• Open to learning and taking instruction from the team lead.

Medical Receptionist Job Description
Medical Receptionists are employed at hospitals and clinics to facilitate communication and recordkeeping in the medical office. Their main role is to serve as a point of contact for patients before and after their appointment, recording interactions and tracking files as necessary. Medical Receptionists communicate with outside medical institutions like laboratories and private practices that treat the same patients. They update Doctors about the status of tests or schedule changes. They securely gather patient information and enter it into digital and physical databases for easy reference, sending hard copies of patient files to other Doctors and insurers when necessary.

Medical Receptionist duties and responsibilities

Position Summary: Front office coordinator is responsible for all duties and functions of the front office area and ensures that they are carried out with accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality. This includes answering the telephone in a courteous manner and directing calls to appropriate destination; recording accurate and complete messages when necessary; greeting and announcing visitors and clients; monitoring the waiting room area; receiving deliveries and donations; providing general information about CPACS’ operations and services; performs routine clerical work such as typing and filing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

 Perform Front Desk Duties
• Direct incoming calls to appropriate staff members or to voice mail.
• Write messages as needed.
• Develop and maintain the appointment log
• Greet agency guests and direct them to appropriate staff members.
• Monitor front entrance and security cameras
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality, especially related to sensitive organizational, customer, and other generally private information.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

 Assist Office Manager in carrying out the department’s goals and objectives
• Plan, organize, and prioritize time and workload
• Assist in administering health, safety and other regulations and procedures.
• Participate in conferences, in-service training, and committees as assigned.
• Assist in preparation for Food Pantry Program as needed.
• Maintains open lines of communication with fellow staff and supervisors about needs, problems, and accomplishments, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills

• Public benefits for underprivileged clients such as Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, etc.
• Principles and techniques used in planning, coordinating, and servicing Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients
• Health, fire, and safety codes and emergency procedures within the facility and with LEP clients
• Service and operation need associated with events and recreational activities.
• Computers and common software packages, including electronic communication devices.
• Proficiency Mandarin or Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Nepali, Burmese, or Spanish is a plus.

Abilities

• Screen and direct phone calls to the appropriate person or destination
• Respond to public inquiries and complaints in an effective and tactful manner.
• Record, organize, and file relevant information and data.
• Perform clerical support work while answering the telephone
• Project a positive and professional image of CPACS

• Direct the work of volunteers and community services
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Korean or Chinese preferred

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Experience:
Minimum of two years of responsible experience in customer service area

Education: Minimum of two years of college, business school, or specialized education. Experience can substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
