Position: SQE ENGINEER
Location: COVINGTON, GA
JOB SUMMARY
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Investigate physical failures and defects including delamination, cracks, and voids using advanced microscopy and analytical techniques
• Direct/indirect/chemical/outsourcing supplier quality control in aboard
• Standardize and control of incoming/SQE control document (incoming inspection criteria, SOP, etc.)
• Supplier visit for quality stem/regular/ theme audit
• Coordinate supplier quality improvement program through regular supplier rating system
• Control of incoming measurement tool and incoming operators
• Root cause investigation and take systemic corrective action for supplier/outsourcing quality issue
• Perform incoming inspection of key materials for continuous improvement
• Supplier change management to prevent side effect by unauthorized change
• Hazardous Substance Control of incoming material (RoHS)
REQUIREMENT:
• ability to be a team player who works collaboratively and effectively with others
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings and observations
• Must be able to travel internationally as needed
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
QUALITIFICATION:
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
• Certificate of internal auditor issued by 3rd certificate company (ISO/IATF/ESD etc.)
• Understanding of Quality System requirement (ISO9000/14000/ IATF16949/ ANSI S20.20 etc)
• Proficiency in using Statistical tools (Minitab or JMPS)
• Experience using problem solving technology (8D/5why/FMEA/FTA, etc.)
• Must be able to multi-task
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial/Material Science/chemical/electronic/Mechanical or related field)
EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering work
