Position Summary:
Spare parts specialist performs and control spare parts for all plant process equipment and facility operation
and to do purchasing, inventory management, parts organizing, parts cost saving activities, and documental
paperwork. Spare parts specialist mainly control proper parts inventory by related job skills and to achieve
zero spare parts issue.
Role Description:
Manage and control all spare parts for operating plant process equipment and facilities and stock proper
amount of inventory. Monitor and report spare parts inventory and status periodically to maintenance
manager and share actual status with maintenance team. All activities of spare parts control is in related
maintenance performance shall be accurate and provided high quality of spare parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Control spare parts inventory accurately
Perform and utilize spare parts purchasing though proper system use and procedure
Manage deliver parts on time for maintenance performance
Perform 5S, organizing spare parts rooms/warehouses/storages and keep them properly for
maintenance access
Perform parts cost saving and manage budget accurately
Setup min-max amount of each spare parts based on actual needs from usage data
Continue to search and replace alternative parts that’s obsoleted parts, high cost part, long lead-time
parts, and as needed
Supervise and direct spare parts team members or temp employees who report this position
Perform accurate communications with venders
Report inventory status and keep record all data for spare parts control
Receive and inspect the delivered parts and stock them correct location in a timely manner
Update inventory of each process equipment, facilities on time and keep accurate parts list
Records spare parts budget always ,control and report it to supervisor on time
Control all return parts from previous use and figure out them repairable parts to send out for repair
Performs other assignments in related this position that’s not listed above
Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including
education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the
position:
Education and Work Experience:
High School or GED required
Preferred 2 years technical college degree or equivalent educations
Over 5 years maintenance spare parts management experiences
Knowledge and Skills:
Bilingual (English/Korean) preferred
Equipment and facility spare parts Knowledge
Purchasing system and procedures skills
5S skills
SAP, ERP operation skills
High level MS Office, professional paperwork
Accurate communication and professional relations
Active learning, and listening
Physical Demands:
Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer for at least 50% of time.
Position requires minimal lifting up to 40 lbs.
Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
Position requires travel up to 10 % of time.
