Summary
This position is mainly responsible for customer service and monitoring inbound/outbound shipment traffic regarding transportation of auto parts into US manufacturing plants (Related Vendors for Hyundai/Kia and Suppliers) with container moves.


Responsibilities
• Provide In/Outbound Operation Services
  • Monitor ocean inbound schedules, services, and update vendors of any documentation issues
  • Provide status updates for customers

• Daily Coordination of Customer Inquiries
  • Daily coordination with customers & inquiries
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Monitor and support container moves
  • Manage/control with operations, customers, and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs
  • Update Genisys system container history

• Manage Demurrage/Detention/Chassis Charge to Minimize Cost for the Customers
  • According to contracted free time, monitor/alert Customers of upcoming charges
  • Ensure all charges are billed correctly, including detention/demurrage/pre-pull/port open charges

• Daily Monitoring of Urgent Container Moves
  • Monitor inbound containers for timely release and provide status updates
  • If necessary, late gate open for the port and follow up until the container arrives at the final destination

• Customer Service
  • Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc. as requested by the Customer
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward Customers at all times
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Communicate with Customers through various channels


Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean are required
• Proficient computer skills required
• Intermediate-level of Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint is highly preferred
• Problem-solving and critical thinking ability required
• Must be detail oriented
• Preferred self-started that can operate under minimal supervision


Education & Experience
• High School Diploma/G.E.D is required
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• 1 – 3 years of related experience is required
• Experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain Management is preferred


Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Lift up to 15lbs
• Carry up to 15lbs
• Stand/walk
